Philosopher Thomas Metzinger has been exploring the intersection between philosophy of mind and cognitive neuroscience for many years. In addition, he deals with the ethical, anthropological and socio-cultural consequences of progress in neuroscience and artificial intelligence. Since 2018, the 61-year-old is part of the European Commission’s High Level Group on Artificial Intelligence to develop guidelines for the beneficial use of AI.
