Talia Sanhewe is a director, producer, presenter and award-winning reporter. She is a member of the international academy of Television, Art & Science, New York and managing director of Talia Production (PTY) Ltd. A sought after key-note speaker, conference MC and host, Talia has moderated LIVE panel discussions at the World Economic Forum, Africa and has spoken at TEDxBreda in the Netherlands on a subject close love and running with it.
Prior to starting her production company, Talia was a reporter and producer for CNBC Africa. In 2009, Talia won the Vodacom Journalist of the Year Award in the regional Television News Category, for her award winning piece on the Broccoli Project, a social entrepreneurship story, focused on HIV / AIDS.
Since 2010, Talia has been invited by the International Academy of Television and Art Sciences to act as jury judge for the International Emmy Awards in New York.
Talia holds a BA Film & Media Degree from the Universityof Cape Town. Her television education also includes a scholarship to the University of California, Los Angeles, where she took classes at their prestigious school of Film & Television.
Her work experience includes the BBC World Service, CNN International, Forbes Africa Magazine, and O, The Oprah Magazine, South Africa. She was a presenter and producer for SAfm and also worked for Tswelopele Productions, on their magazine show Top Billing, as a guest presenter, producer and writer.
